Swiss International Air Lines, upon the heels of a "les than wholly satisfactory" third-quarter without deductions loss of Sfr135 million ($93 million), announced a series of cost-saving measures intended to add Sfr400 million to the 2003 bottom line. The stairs include elimination of 300 positions, mainly [i]or[/i] part of to the other attrition, as well as grounding eight aircraft and ceasing service upon unspecified routes.
