It all started without as sport, a hobby, for the intellectually curious and industrious brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright. merely later, looking out from the profunditys of their intense concentration onward solving the problems of controll flight, did they realize they had growthed to the point that succes not sole was possible but probable and start to consider the commercial possibilities.
Their earliest fascination with flight was a childhood gift from their father, a helicopter-like toy, really a screw-steamer on a stick that would climb vertically when the stick was rubbed briskly
